Colin Watson was born in Belfast in 1966 and continues to live and work in the city.
He graduated with a B.A. Honours in Fine Art from the University of Ulster in 1988 and since then has exhibited regularly to great acclaim in Belfast, Dublin, London, New York and Morocco.
Colinís work is held in the collections of The Arts Council for Northern Ireland; The Royal Collection London, The collection of the Prince of Wales, The collection of the Duchess of Cornwall, The Royal Geographical Society London; The National Self-Portrait Collection of Ireland, Limerick; the Department of the Environment, Northern Ireland; The Royal Palace, Rabat, Morocco and many private collections throughout the U.S.A, Morocco, U.K. and Ireland.
Colin regularly exhibits in the R.U.A. and the R.H.A. winning awards in both in 2002, the Don Niccolo díArdia Caracciolo R.H.A. medal and award in 2003 and the Conor Prize at the R.U.A. in 2006.
