John Redmond - Beyond Form

Beyond Form is a striking new collection of sculptures by Irish artist John Redmond, marking a significant evolution in his artistic practice.

Long celebrated for his abstract paintings, Redmond expands his practice into three-dimensional form. Each sculpture was hand-crafted by Redmond before being cast in bronze, resin and marble, at the prestigious VP Tassisn foundry in Athens, Greece.

Drawing on his extensive travels and deep appreciation for art, architecture and design, Beyond Form translates his signature visual language into sculptural works that are both dynamic and delicately poised. Each piece reflects his ongoing investigation into the relationship between balance and form. 

Redmond has successfully created sculptures that appear to be still taking shape in front of the viewer, creating a sense of dynamism and transience. Surface texture is of real significance; the sculptures are smoothly polished in order to enhance the play of light.

With this new body of work, Redmond seamlessly bridges his painting practice with sculpture, offering collectors and audiences a fresh perspective on his evolving artistic vision.

The sculpture collection will be on view in Gormleys Dublin from 22nd May - 4th June.
