Biography

John Redmond (b 1963 Carlow) is an Irish contemporary artist living in Dublin. Having spent over 30 years in the Creative industry through his role as Creative Director of The Brown Thomas Group, he is now focused on painting full-time.

Redmond has always expressed his creative side through painting but turning 50 was a particular milestone and the first time he showed his work publicly, to great success. Colour has always defined Redmond's work and each piece deftly illustrates his exuberant sense of colour and geometric precision. His work exudes his sense of optimism and is influenced by his years of travel and his love of architecture and design.

Redmond has exhibited both at home and abroad, his works hang in many private collections in the USA, UK, Netherlands, France, Switzerland, Spain & Ireland.
