Christopher Stone

Christopher Stone was born in east London in 1955. After obtaining his City and Guilds certificate in Cabinet Making he began two years full time work experience with artist designer Ralph Hampton of Shaftesbury, Dorset. He then went on to learn antique restoration at De Siedner galleries in London.

Feeling the pull of his social conscience, he taught young criminal offenders basic carpentry skills for the Hackney Borough Council in east London. He moved to Seville in 1988 to prepare to exhibit for the British and Spanish pavilions at the Worlds Trade Fair which launched in 1992. Upon his arrival in Ibiza, Christopher met and collaborated with Barry Flanagan, who mentored Christopher's sculpturing until Flanagan's death in 2009.

An exhibiting artist for over 40 years, Christopher has received worldwide acclaim and exposure of his work in all forms of media. He's also a founding member of Art Resilience founded by Ksenia Milicevic in Paris.


Lost Artist Studios in Ibiza is currently where Christopher spends his time working on commissions and sculpting work for his upcoming shows.
