Biography

Born in 1948, Bob Quinn gave up a successful career as a commercial artist to pursue his love of sculpture and drawing. He now works full time as a sculptor from his studio in Blackrock, Dublin.

Although his figurative work can be described as expressionist in style, he owes much to the influences of Epstein, Marini, and painters like Millet and Degas.

Quinn's work is represented in Dublin by Solomon Fine Art and throughout the country in the North by Kilcock Art Gallery, Parvis Gallery Lisburn, Greenlane Gallery in Dingle and Paris, and the Mill Cove Gallery in Cork.

Quinn now concentrates largely on commission work after producing a very successful one man show titled “Strong Women”, held in Dublin with Solomon Fine Art in 2011.
