Shane O' Malley

Shane O'Malley, an Irish artist, uses painting to explore themes of perception and how our minds interpret patterns in the world around us. His artwork combines studio-based paintings with large-scale murals created in public spaces.

Shane's vibrant use of colour stems from his background in street art and graffiti. He began painting graffiti in 2001, drawn to the act of writing and leaving his mark, which encompasses both a creative and destructive nature.

He has painted graffiti and murals across Ireland, exhibiting his artwork in Dublin and Galway. You can view his pieces at the Dean Hotel in Galway, The Hendrick in Smithfield, St. James's Hospital in Dublin, and University Hospital Galway. Born in 1985, originally from Navan, Shane currently resides in Galway city.
