Philip Childs is an accomplished artist who is recognised as one of the leading wildlife and landscape artists in Ireland.
His has an innate ability to bring life to his subject. As a painter he is sensitive to the subtleties of light and shade, and to the character of the subject. His attention to detail is meticulous and follows a strict and authentic study of the subject, ensuring the surroundings; body movement and settings are all compatible with their true nature.
Philip’s recognised natural ability has lead to critical acclaim, winning the ‘All Ireland Art Championships’ in 1995, which lead to interviews on National television and Radio launching his work into the public eye. His work is held in many private collections in Ireland and abroad.
